S2:E2 – My Buddy Commercial

By listener request, we’re suffering through a seemingly endless loop of the retro My Buddy commercials. According to John, My Buddy was created to teach young boys empathy, but considering the correlation between the endless parade of flaxen-haired tots in this 80s commercial and the resurgence of actual friggin’ Nazis in our horrible modern times, eehhh, maybe this didn’t work.

John Hurst hosts this week and makes himself a delicious sandwich with mayo. Aaron Littleton cohosts and contemplates silky-smooth skin.

S2:E1 – DuckTales TV Opening

We’re back, everyone! Season 2 gets started off right with the classic DuckTales TV opening. Sure, DuckTales may be in the middle of a reboot, but we’re weird old man who want to think about our own childhoods, damn it! This is retro DuckTales with the wrong coat color Scrooge McDuck and not a hint of Donald anywhere!

Please look forward to Season 2 of Video Death Loop, returning weekly AS OF NOW! Please tell your friends and rate us on iTunes as well, that’d be suuuper swell.

Intermission 2 – Some Batman is OK

Guys we’ve still not started Season 2 so here’s another one of these intermission episodes! We’re talking about DC and why its entire output is terrible except for maybe some Batman! We untangle an impenetrable and poorly crafted timeline plus we discuss our actual progress to releasing new actual episodes of Video Death Loop actually. I know!

Please stay tuned for new episodes of Video Death Loop soon!

Aaron Littleton kind of hosts and John Hurst also kind of co-hosts.

S1:E37 – The Dukes of Hazzard TV Opening

Short shorts! Car stunts! Problematic themes!

Yes, The Dukes of Hazzard is an interesting show to think about in 2017. TV legends in their own day, and endlessly referenced and parodied in the subsequent four decades, time has recently been less kind to the eponymous duo. Yup, it looks like them Duke Boys are in trouble again, but this time its for slapping a symbol of slavery on the top of an otherwise sick Dodge Charger.

At least moonshine is legal these days.

Aaron Littleton hosts this week, never meaning no harm. John Hurst co-hosts and half finishes construction projects while waiting on additional pylons.

S1:E17 – Godzilla Theme Song

godzilla

Why would Godzilla give a device that summons him to a bunch of ungrateful jerks on a boat? Who is Godzooky and does he have anything to do with Godzilla’s distant cousin Vapezilla? Nothing about this makes sense!

John Hurst is 30 stories high and chooses the 1978 animated Godzilla theme song as our video this episode. Aaron Littleton co-hosts and is the unfortunate alphabetical mayor of Charleston.
